I finally filed my nails, on my swatching hand, down to match the two that I had broken. I haven’t had short nails for some time. It feels weird.
But there is a bonus. I have wanted to do an Owl design for quite a while. I have tried it with long nails but it just looks funky. They look tall and skinny and all out of proportion.
I am pretty happy with my first attempt at nail art on short nails. Well I take that back. When I first started blogging and doing nails I kept my nails shorter. But it has been at least a couple of years that I have been keeping my nails longer.
These little owls are pink with a softer pink belly and brown dots, brown ears, and a yellow beak. The nails are polished with a Morgan Taylor polished and the rest is done with acrylic paint, a brush, and a dotting tool.
